FAQ

I know starting counseling can feel like a big step, and you might have a lot of questions—about what to expect, how sessions work, or even whether therapy is the right fit for you. That’s completely normal! This FAQ section is here to help answer some of the most common questions I get asked so you can feel more comfortable and confident as you take this next step. If there’s something you’re wondering that isn’t covered here, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m happy to help!

Do you offer virtual & in-person appointments?

Yes! I currently offer virtual and in-person appointments.  My office is located at the following address:

All telehealth services are offered through a HIPAA-compliant, secure platform. 

How long are appointments?

The initial appointment is typically 60 minutes.  Therapy appointment vary in duration from 50-60 minutes depending on the session. 

How often will we meet?

Most clients start out meeting weekly or every other week - it just depends on what feels right for you. As we go, we can always adjust the schedule based on your needs and what's working best. 

Do you take insurance?

Yes, I am currently an in-network provider with Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare. At this time, I do not accept any other insurance companies.

If you are covered by another healthcare insurance company and I am not considered in-network, I may be able to supply a "superbill" for you apply for out-of-network reimbursements.  Feel free to ask me for this if this is an option for reimbursement through your insurer. 

What are your rates and do you offer sliding scale fees?

Intake session $175

Individual session $150

Couples session $150

I do offer a limited number of reduced fee sessions.  If you are in need of assistance, please don't hesitate to ask about availability.
